OUR HISTORY

A family run business since 1925 manufacturing bespoke joinery

Established in 1925 as L W Wedd & Son by Leslie Walter Wedd in Trumpington, Dennis Leslie Wedd then joined his father in the 1940’s and was instrumental in developing the business.

30 years on Dennis’ son, Peter, joined the company and continued to expand the company relocating it a short distance from the original workshop, moving it to a larger premises and further building its reputation for leading the field in manufacturing innovation and producing first class joinery spanning more than nine decades.

Since moving to the 25,000 square foot factory in Stapleford it has enabled Wedd Joinery to take on larger contracts, at any one time we can be working on many different projects ensuring both time and cost efficiency to our customers.  We are very fortunate that the majority of our workforce have remained with us for many years and their skills and loyalty have played a key role in sustaining both quality and steady growth.

2010 saw the change in name from L W Wedd & Son Ltd to Wedd Joinery.
